Heavy downpour last night and I chose morning hike after fajr due to safety purpose. The last eruption of Mt. Sibayak was about 140 years ago; as time goes by, this place has turned to be a wisata (recreational place). Enjoy the cool air, hear the sound of Orang Utan waking up one another, smell thick natural sulphur, a closer look of hot steam air before amazing view of Berastagi from the top, which includes an active volcano Mt. Sinabung from afar. It's a well-paved wisata where you can hike it by your own w/out pak supir (tour guide) pun! |
